Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer

About the role

Canonical provides open source software and operating systems to global enterprises. The Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer will drive automation and infrastructure as code across private and public clouds as part of the Information Systems team.

What you'll do

• Drive development of automation and Gitops within the IS team
• Collaborate with the IS architect to align solutions with the architecture vision
• Design, architect and offer IS services as products
• Develop and improve IaC practices and automated processes
• Automate operations for reuse and consistency across clouds
• Maintain responsibility for Canonical's core services and infrastructure

What they're looking for

• Experience with infrastructure as code across private and public clouds
• Python development experience with large projects
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration systems
• Knowledge of Linux networking, routing and firewalls
• Hands-on administration of enterprise Linux servers
• Strong monitoring and observability skills with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch
