Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Agent Endpoint DLP team, you will help shape the FortiDLP endpoint agent and own feature development from design through delivery. You’ll work within the Cyber R&D group, focusing on kernel/OS-level development to protect data at the edge. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality, implement secure code, and improve agent capabilities. This role offers hands-on work with a diverse tech stack and a chance to impact protection across Fortinet’s global customer base. You will join a team that emphasizes thorough reviews, performance awareness, and a shared commitment to reliability and security.

- Implement new FortiDLP endpoint agent capabilities and lead feature development
- Maintain and improve existing agent functionality
- Contribute to code, tests, and code reviews
- Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and secure coding practices
- Coordinate progress across the team and with other departments
- Strong programming skills with at least 3 years of software engineering experience
- Familiarity with computer science fundamentals
- Proficiency in Go, C, C++, Java, Scala, C# or Swift
- Kernel and device driver development experience for Windows, Linux, or Mac
- Experience with systems analytics and dynamic tracing/performance tools (e.g., Instruments, VTune, DTrace, eBPF)
- Knowledge of observability, logging, and metrics
- Security principles including PKI, certificates, and cryptography
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
