Overview

In this Lead Software Architect role, you will own and shape the architecture within NiCE’s AI-led delivery transformation, building an AI-native digital evidence platform. You’ll drive design, implementation guidance, and validation in cloud-based, multi-server settings, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will mentor the team, coordinate with Product Management, and champion responsible use of AI. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the center of a rapid delivery evolution.

Responsibilities
  • Own architecture and lead AI-led design, implementation, and validation in cloud-based, multi-threaded environments
  • Guide architectural direction through a collaborative, team-based approach
  • Ensure security, scalability, compatibility, maintainability, and responsible AI use in build-time and run-time
  • Test and fix defects, support customer issues, and enforce architectural standards
  • Mentor team members on architecture practices and AI-led delivery
  • Coordinate with Product Management during planning sessions
Key requirements
  • Solid experience developing applications in C# using Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code
  • Proven track record of designing secure, scalable, resilient systems from complex requirements
  • Experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions
  • Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with source control (DevOps, GIT or similar)
  • Experience in unit testing, code reviews, and other quality disciplines
  • Solid understanding of network security, authentication, and authorization
  • Experience with databases using Entity Framework or similar
  • Knowledge of SOLID principles
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs and API extensibility
  • Recent practical experience using AI tooling (Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or equivalent) in daily work
  • Comfort with probabilistic systems and judgment on AI use in high-trust domains
  • Ability to ramp on a new AI tool quickly
  • Security best practice (OWASP top ten) is a nice-to-have
  • Azure SQL Server, DevOps pipelines/tools, Windows services are assets
  • Experience using AI tooling in architect role (design review, ADR drafting, threat modelling, contract design) is an asset
  • Familiarity with AI-native software patterns (agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, evidence packets) is an asset
  • Effective communication across emails, chat, calls, and video
