As a Senior Software Engineer on CAM, you design, build, and support automation and tooling to enable secure, self-service AWS usage for Disney Streaming and adjacent teams. You will provide operational guidance to DevOps groups, applying a cloud-native lens to architecture and deployment strategies. You’ll work across cross-functional teams to enforce security standards and IAM practices while delivering impactful automation. This role offers the chance to shape cloud security and platform engineering practices at scale within Disney’s cloud ecosystem.

- Write automation tools to enable self-service and incident response in AWS
- Work with IAM, policies, and cloud-native services to secure AWS workloads
- Promote security best practices and compliant operating standards in the cloud
- Troubleshoot IAM permissions and access controls for users and workloads
- Provide design and deployment guidance to development teams on services and architectures
- Own initiatives and contribute to future solution designs and roadmaps
- Serve as a technical resource across levels and cross-functional teams
- Monitor and address inbound issues
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent
- Strong Python development and production-quality code
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Jenkins
- Backend platform engineering experience with Python
- API development and database schema design
- Hands-on AWS Security/IAM administration for multiple users/workloads
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts
- Unix/Linux systems experience
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Practical, collaborative approach with engineers
