Overview

Senior Software Developer (Full stack) within the Trust Retail team, based in Bournemouth with hybrid work after an initial office period. You will build scalable, secure retail, EPOS, stock management, and customer engagement solutions across frontend, backend, and Android. You’ll ship high-quality production code, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients, and contribute to agile delivery, testing, and cloud deployments. This role offers on-call duties and a chance to shape fintech products in a fast-growing, inclusive environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive reliable, customer-focused software at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate development squads and implement internal and customer-led features following established processes
  • Develop features across new and existing projects aligned with customer requirements
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure good code coverage
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
  • Address bugs, reduce technical debt, and support artefact deployment to environments
  • Troubleshoot environmental and infrastructure issues in cloud environments
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and daily stand-ups with stakeholders
  • Comply with laws, codes of practice, health and safety, and GDPR requirements
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in full-stack development with emphasis on Android and Java microservices
  • Experience facilitating development squads and working with non-technical stakeholders
  • Frontend technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Solid MySQL or equivalent database experience
  • Experience writing/unit and integration tests for Java web services, microservices, and Android
  • Understanding of Git branching strategies and merge tools
