Senior Software Developer in Test

Employment Type: Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Job Description: Senior Software Developer in Test- 1 year replacement We are expanding our core travel tech platforms, and right now our QA team needs a Senior SDET who wants to own automated testing frameworks and pioneer AI-driven testing workflows rather than just running existing scripts.

What You'll Be Doing

You will join an Agile team in Montreal as a quality mentor and automation specialist, driving test strategy and test coverage across our expanding suite of web, mobile, and service-based applications. From early project scoping and design reviews to building test tools and maintaining regression suites, you will own quality end-to-end to ensure high product integrity for our global travel partners. You will design, build, and maintain automation frameworks while leveraging modern AI workflows, using tools like Claude Code, Kiro, and custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to accelerate automated test generation and complex QA analysis.

What You Bring

You bring at least 4+ years of hands-on coding experience in test automation with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Groovy, or Python, with a track record of building or evolving automation frameworks. You have deep experience with service-level testing including API, integration, and UI tools like Playwright, along with the technical judgment to know exactly what to automate and at what level. You embed seamlessly into Agile teams during early planning and design reviews, actively surfacing quality risks and championing product testability. You bring a mentor mindset to train colleagues, rally support around technical proposals, and contribute to resolving high-severity production issues when needed. You have structurally changed how your team works around AI by building custom AI agents or MCP servers to accelerate testing workflows and solve complex quality challenges.
