Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Perl applications
  • Build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Write clean, well-documented code and follow engineering best practices
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance
  • Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD
  • Support deployments, monitoring, and operational excellence
Key requirements
  • Perl development experience
  • Experience with modern Perl frameworks and modules
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
  • Git or equivalent version control
  • Linux/Unix environment experience
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing practices
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
