Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to develop and support web applications using Java/Spring Boot and Angular

Join a software development team supporting engineering programs and application initiatives within a banking environment. This role focuses on web application development, feature enhancements, code implementation, and day-to-day application support using Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and related technologies. The position offers exposure to multiple projects and collaboration across internal technology teams. Hybrid work is available in Toronto or Montreal.

Contract, Toronto or Montreal Hybrid, 2 days but will be transitioning to 4 days in office next year

12 months

Must Haves

  • 8+ years in Software Development with Java/Spring Boot
  • Angular front-end development
  • GitHub and pipelines
  • Understanding of infrastructure environments
  • Post-secondary education preferred

Nice to Have

  • Node.js
  • Tomcat and JBoss runtime environments
  • REST, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB2, JAX-RS, Web API
  • Agile delivery methodology including Scrum, Confluence, and JIRA

Responsibilities

  • Develop new solutions for engineering programs and projects
  • Develop new features and perform unit and component testing for application initiatives
  • Support business activities through enhancements and break/fix implementations
  • Collaborate with technology partners to align configurations and components with application requirements
  • Analyze technical requirements and recommend engineering solutions
  • Create and maintain quality code during testing cycles and post-production deployment
