Overview

As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Elekta, you will design, develop, and maintain software for radiation therapy systems, operating in a safety-critical domain. Responsibilities
  • Define, design, and maintain components, services, and APIs on the Elekta domain platform
  • Full stack development across web and desktop UIs, messaging, and storage
  • Improve software quality metrics and maintainability via code reviews and testing
  • Develop tests at all levels (unit, component, automated/manual system tests)
  • Ensure conformance with development processes and documentation
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and test automation for faster delivery
  • Collaborate in a scrum team and support others to manage priorities and impediments
  • Participate in safety lifecycle activities and hazard mitigation
  • Define, review requirements, and contribute to architectural direction
  • Lead technical direction of product development across teams
Key requirements
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Full stack development with .NET (C#, .NET Core)
  • Front-end: Angular
  • Object-oriented design
  • Knowledge of software engineering disciplines and SDLC
  • Experience with CI/CD and Agile (SAFe)
  • Previous experience in medical devices or other regulated/safety-critical areas
  • Back-end: Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, RabbitMQ
  • Docker, Kubernetes, VMware
  • Azure DevOps
  • Domain-driven design
  • Asynchronous programming and event-driven systems
  • Fluent in English with strong communication
  • Structured and professional engineering approach
  • Effective problem-solving and positive can-do attitude
