In this role you will strengthen a high‑caliber QA culture within Adaptive’s trading technology platform. You will drive test strategy across the full stack, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software. You will tackle complex edge cases, optimize testing coverage, and promote QA best practices. Responsibilities
  • Propose and refine test plans with an emphasis on test automation
  • Tackle challenging quality engineering problems across code, tests, and CI/CD
  • Promote QA best practices and instill a quality mindset across the team
  • Design, maintain and execute test cases; analyze results
  • Develop understanding of business/technical requirements; contribute to process improvements
  • Collaborate with QAs, BAs and developers to enhance automated tests and coverage
  • Work with Dev and DevOps to improve test automation tools and solutions
Key requirements
  • Strong QA methodologies and full SDLC (TDD, BDD, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proficiency in Java with focus on automated testing, debugging, root cause analysis
  • Experience testing across unit to E2E levels
  • Exploratory testing to uncover complex edge cases
  • Ability to translate feature specs into test coverage and plans
  • Knowledge of BDD practices (story refinement, example mapping, acceptance criteria, 3 Amigos)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and static code analysis integration
  • Containerised test environments with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Observability/monitoring familiarity; performance/memory profiling
  • Cloud platforms knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift)
  • Exposure to chaos testing and distributed pub/sub low‑latency messaging
  • Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement
  • Strong communication and collaboration
