Senior Software Engineer

Aspiring IT Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable software applications and cloud-based systems.

The successful candidate will work on software architecture, backend applications, APIs, data-intensive systems, cloud platforms, system integration, testing, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze business and user requirements and translate them into technical and software specifications.
• Research, design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain scalable software applications and computer-based systems.
• Design logical and physical specifications, software components, data models, and system architectures.
• Develop backend applications, services, APIs, and data-processing solutions using modern programming technologies.
• Design and integrate software solutions with databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain reliable data-processing workflows supporting business applications.
• Evaluate system architecture and improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade, and maintain applications and software environments.
• Develop automated unit and integration testing to maintain software quality and reliability.
• Support CI/CD, containerized applications, and cloud-based software deployments.
• Research and evaluate technologies and recommend improvements to software architecture and engineering practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and software engineering standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or related development experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python .
• Experience developing backend applications and APIs using technologies such as Django and GraphQL .
• Strong experience with SQL and database technologies such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
• Experience designing and developing applications in cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure .
• Experience with software architecture, system integration, performance optimization, and scalable application design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Airflow, or Dataflow is an asset.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, software quality, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
