Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer on Tripadvisor’s Experiences Engineering team, you will contribute to the backend primarily while occasionally shaping frontend work. You’ll collaborate with product managers and designers across the full software lifecycle, delivering value with rapid, production-ready releases. You’ll work within a remote-first, flexible environment that values autonomous, cross-functional execution and continuous learning. This role offers the chance to impact how operators and guests connect with experiences across our travel platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend services with occasional frontend work.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers across the full software lifecycle (design, code, test, deploy).
  • Participate in a rapid release cadence with production deployments every few days.
  • Contribute to building scalable systems on our AWS-based, Kubernetes-orchestrated stack using Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL databases.
