Senior Software Engineer

In this role you will contribute to the MIMESIS maritime battlespace simulation software, enabling realistic naval training and system validation. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve performance, reduce risk, and accelerate delivery of critical capabilities. You will design, develop, and maintain reliable software for operation in defence contexts, and participate in testing and feature enhancements. • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software aligned with project requirements
• Create clear, structured, maintainable software designs
• Deliver robust software suitable for operational use
• Conduct testing to ensure quality, performance, and compliance
• Maintain and enhance existing software, fix defects, and implement new features

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related numerate discipline
• Experience in at least one high-level language (C++, C#, Java, or Ada)
• Breadth of experience across the full software development lifecycle with Agile or Waterfall
• Solid understanding of configuration management principles and tools
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including switches and routers
