Senior Software Engineer

In this role you will develop next‑generation mission systems and sonar software for naval platforms, collaborating with a multi-site team to deliver robust, testable solutions. You’ll work on complex, real‑time software for high‑stakes defence projects, from design through integration. The role combines hands‑on coding with shaping architectures and requirements in a fast‑paced, Agile environment. • Design, implement and test software solutions
• Develop components from detailed design through unit testing
• Support software integration and bug resolution during verification
• Follow established SW architectures identified by SW Architects
• Collaborate with Product Owners and cross‑site teams to realise product vision

• Understanding of a solution development lifecycle for complex systems with several years’ Agile SW development experience
• Ability to derive and manage software requirements
• Ability to design software solutions that meet operational needs
• Demonstrable SW development skills (Java/C++ in Linux)
• Use of industry standard tooling for SW development (IDEs, unit test frameworks, static analysis)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
