Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Experian Credit Services, Identity & Fraud, you will enhance a mature, business-critical .NET product in a hybrid Nottingham-based role. You’ll contribute across the full stack from data layer to UI, delivering secure, high-quality code in a regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape features and improve performance, reliability, and data protection. This role offers impactful work on sensitive customer data and opportunities to influence architecture and delivery at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Build new features and enhancements across the established .NET product, spanning data layer to UI
  • Write clean, secure, maintainable, well-documented code following coding standards and secure-development practices
  • Handle sensitive data with security and data protection front of mind
  • Refactor, optimize databases, and implement sensible architectural changes to boost performance and reliability
  • Participate in the full delivery cycle (sprint planning, standups, retros) and collaborate with Product Manager to shape and deliver features
  • Triage, maintain and improve core parts of the existing application as the user base grows
Key requirements
  • Solid commercial experience with C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server)
  • Full-stack experience building web pages with ASP.NET Razor
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS for web UI layout
  • Track record of writing secure code and handling sensitive data
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
  • Comfortable owning tasks through to completion in an agile environment
