BettingJobs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer a global leader in online gaming, to join a new backend engineering team in Toronto.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET backend services
  • Build and manage real-time data pipelines and integrations.
  • Extend legacy systems to ensure stability and backward compatibility.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues
  • Oversee the deployment lifecycle and CI/CD processes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of .NET development experience.
  • Strong background in distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka), REST APIs, gRPC, or WebSockets
  • Proficiency with Redis, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Skilled with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
  • Comfortable with complex business logic and high ownership roles
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Bonus: Experience with financial/trading domains, test automation, GitOps/CD tools, or actor model frameworks.
