Senior Software Engineer

Wayve

London · England · United Kingdom

  • The team operates as a startup within a scale-up: with its own infrastructure, its own DevOps, and a high-autonomy operating model independent from Wayve’s core engineering org
  • We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure and developer tooling that underpins the entire Portal engineering team
  • This is a broad, hands-on platform engineering role, not a narrow specialisation
  • You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, RBAC/IAM, CI/CD, Kubernetes and developer productivity. You’ll be the person application developers come to when they need to move faster, more safely and you’ll build the systems and guardrails that make that possible
  • Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and developer tooling (primarily Azure) using IaC (Terraform) across development, staging, and production environments
  • Own and evolve RBAC/IAM across both cloud/infrastructure and application/product layers for a multi-tenant Portal environment
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase developer velocity, reliability and deployment safety
  • Support and improve Kubernetes-based deployment workflows and platform services
  • Build internal tools and observability capabilities that help engineers deliver performant, reliable software at scale
  • Participate in a support/on-call rotation; respond to incidents, support engineers, and contribute to root cause analysis
  • Apply practical security and networking knowledge to harden the platform and coach application developers on best practices
