Overview

In this role you will contribute as a Java-focused Senior Software Engineer within the Data & Technology team serving the Central Government sector. You will own full Java development lifecycles, deliver incremental releases, and collaborate with clients on site when needed. You’ll explore new technologies to drive continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers. This position offers hybrid working in the UK with opportunities to influence large-scale government-related solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform full SDLC in Java to deliver software
  • Release high-quality incremental software in short cycles
  • Participate in occasional client site integrations, demos, training and business development activities
  • Support continuous improvement by researching and evaluating alternative technologies and methods
Key requirements
  • 5-8 years of Java development experience
  • Familiarity with Spring or Hibernate
  • Experience with Agile environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferred
  • Mentorship experience for senior level
  • Active UK SC Clearance or eligible for National Security Vetting
