Senior Software Engineer Location: Plymouth Hybrid Salary: £50,000 £70,000 We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java expertise to join a leading technology and professional services organisation, working on complex software development and transformation programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who can combine strong hands-on development skills with experience across the full software lifecycle, designing and delivering secure, scalable and modern software solutions within Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test and deliver bespoke software solutions. Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture through to implementation, deployment, training and support. Develop full stack applications using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React. Utilise open-source libraries, frameworks and components to deliver modern software capabilities. Build and maintain continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab to monitor software quality and security. Deploy software systems across public and private cloud environments, including AWS and Azure. Work within Agile-focused teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions across complex projects. Engage with clients and senior stakeholders, with opportunities to lead teams and client engagements depending on experience. Support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and evolution of software systems. Experience Youll Need Significant commercial experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer. Strong hands-on experience with Java. Commercial experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and React. Experience working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure. Good understanding of software development, testing and modern engineering practices. Experience with CI/CD and tools such as GitLab. Experience working across the full software development lifecycle. Comfortable working within Agile development environments. Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Ability to obtain UK security clearance Whats on Offer £50,000 £70,000 salary.
