Senior Software Engineer £50,000 - £70,000 GBP Onsite WORKING Location: Manchester/Cheltenham , Central London, Greater London - United Kingdom Type: Permanent Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative Agile team delivering bespoke software solutions for high-profile Central Government programmes. Youll work across the full software development lifecycle, building secure, scalable applications using modern technologies and cloud platforms. What youll be doing Design, develop and test high-quality software solutions. Build modern full-stack applications using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React . Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab . Deploy applications into AWS and Azure cloud environments. Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to deployment and support. Collaborate with architects, developers and customers to deliver innovative solutions. Lead technical workstreams and mentor junior engineers where appropriate. What were looking for Strong commercial experience with Java . Experience developing front-end applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript . Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS and/or Azure . Experience working within Agile development teams. Passion for writing clean, maintainable and secure code. Previous consultancy experience is beneficial but not essential. Due to the nature of the work, you must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. Applicants must be British passport holders and have lived continuously in the UK for the past five years .
