Senior Software Engineer

In this role you will design, build, and operate secure, scalable software within Moody's Corporates and Government team, applying modern web and backend technologies. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver high-impact features and contribute to pragmatic architecture decisions. You will leverage AI-powered tools to improve delivery quality and mentor peers while ensuring reliability and security. • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver features
• Contribute to technical design discussions and shape pragmatic architecture decisions
• Maintain code quality, testing, documentation, performance, reliability, and security
• Use AI-powered development tools to streamline workflows and improve delivery quality
• Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
• Mentor associate and software engineers through code reviews, pairing, debugging, and knowledge sharing

• Strong experience designing, developing, testing, and operating production-grade software systems
• Proficiency in web and backend technologies such as React, .NET Core, C#, Java, Python (Rust a plus)
• Experience building scalable APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native apps
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure development practices
• Ability to own services end-to-end from design to production support
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and automation
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to mentor engineers
• Awareness of responsible AI, security, and risk management in enterprise software delivery
• Willingness to work across languages and use AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to boost productivity
