Senior Software Engineer

In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will design and develop software for advanced warehouse management, supporting manual and automated operations. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to implement Swisslog’s standards and drive continuous improvement. You’ll create system designs and technical specifications, translating customer needs into robust software solutions. You will coach junior colleagues and collaborate with offshore teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. • Design and develop software for manual and automated warehousing operations
• Create system designs, architectural and technical specifications
• Devise design strategies aligned with Swisslog’s standards
• Understand and capture customer operational requirements
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Delegate tasks and motivate team members
• Collaborate with offshore development center on technical matters

• Oracle Database Administration
• Engineering degree with relevant experience
• Proven experience in PL/SQL or Oracle Forms & Reports
• Understanding of real-time programming and relational database concepts
• Java (SE & EE) is desirable
• Network and sockets programming is desirable
• Minimum 5 years in a commercial real-time software environment
• Experience delivering software solutions within budget and time constraints
• Experience programming database applications
• Supply chain or logistics knowledge desirable
