Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and deliver critical software within a cross-functional team in a defence-focused environment. You’ll contribute to milestones, drive continuous improvement, and help shape technical direction in a collaborative setting. The role offers development opportunities across a range of enterprise-grade applications and backend services. You’ll work onsite across UK sites and apply modern tech to solve impactful problems in national security.

Key requirements
  • Full stack experience in agile teams
  • Java development with Spring Boot
  • Frontend development using React or Vue
  • Cloud platforms AWS or Azure
  • Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation
  • Terraform or Ansible (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Unit testing and test automation
  • Git workflows (branching, PRs, merges)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools or techniques
