Overview

In this role you will design, build, test, deploy and support production software for one of Europe’s leading travel brands. You’ll work in a product-focused engineering squad, solving complex technical challenges and improving system reliability, scalability and performance. You’ll guide technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions and collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. You’ll leverage modern practices, ownership and collaboration to shape technical direction and deliver value for customers and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, deploy and support production software with ownership of major technical challenges
  • Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions ensuring maintainability and sustainability
  • Improve systems via testing, observability, performance tuning and operational practices
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Support code reviews and technical collaboration
  • Investigate incidents and troubleshoot production issues
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, release processes and development practices
  • Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Contribute technical expertise during planning, discovery and solution design
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development effectiveness and delivery quality
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience using .NET
  • Strong commercial experience using Java
  • Hands-on experience designing, building and operating solutions on AWS
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications, APIs and distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, version control and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting production systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for continuously improving engineering quality, standards and ways of working
