Senior Software Engineer

As a senior member of the Engineering team, you drive architecture improvements to scale EverQuote’s systems. You will build scalable, maintainable backend services and collaborate with product and architecture teams to Delivery impactful solutions. You will elevate code quality and velocity, leveraging AI-assisted tooling to enhance processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to align technical designs with business goals, contributing to a fast-paced, innovative engineering culture. This role offers an opportunity to shape core platform capabilities at scale within a mission-driven company.

• Design and deliver core business applications and services
• Improve code quality, productivity, and velocity with AI-assisted tooling
• Uphold and evolve software development processes and engineering culture
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including Product Managers and Architecture team

• 5+ years of professional programming experience at a software product company
• Experience with one or more server-side languages (Typescript, Golang, Python)
• Experience in microservice-based architecture; proficient with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building, deploying, and monitoring cloud-based applications at scale (AWS)
• Strong system design skills and ability to communicate designs to diverse stakeholders
