Overview
In this hands-on role you will design, develop, and modernise desktop and cloud-based applications in a technically focused team. You work closely with the Team Lead and Product Owner to translate complex requirements into reliable, scalable software and contribute to architecture, reviews, and evolving products. You’ll tackle challenging problems with modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tools, shaping high-performance software with real impact.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain desktop and cloud-based applications
- Write clean, well-tested C#/.NET code
- Apply OO design, SOLID, and design patterns
- Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions
- Collaborate with Team Lead and Product Owner to translate requirements
- Identify technical risks and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to CI/CD and automated testing practices
- Help modernise established software products
- Utilise AI-assisted development tools where valuable
- Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, frameworks, and cloud services
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5 to 15 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong commercial experience with C#/NET
- Proven experience delivering complex production-grade software
- Experience with desktop applications and/or cloud-based solutions
- Strong understanding of OO design and software engineering principles
- Experience with design patterns, automated testing, version control and code reviews
- Experience in an Agile development environment
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
