Overview

In this role you will design, build, and scale AI-enabled platform services and public APIs as part of AVEVA’s Core AI Services. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, cloud-native solutions that underpin AI adoption across AVEVA’s product portfolio. The position offers hands-on problem solving, rapid prototyping, and collaborative engineering within a startup-like, agile culture. You will help shape scalable AI infrastructure and MLOps pipelines in a demanding industrial context.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver AI solutions including model deployment, training, and AI tooling
  • Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure
  • Develop secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data pipelines, orchestration, and service APIs
  • Embed strong security controls to protect data and secure access to AI services
  • Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions for engineering excellence
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Key requirements
  • Extensive software engineering experience, preferably in platform or cloud-native service development, with Microsoft and .NET technologies
  • Strong expertise in RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management
  • Proficient in securing APIs, authentication/authorization, and data privacy practices
  • Hands-on experience deploying scalable cloud-native services using PaaS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges and scalable solutions
