Overview

In this role you will define software architecture and develop core measurement, data-analysis, and signal/image-processing algorithms for Filmetrics’ measurement instruments. You will work on cross-functional teams to shape software for surface profiling and related technologies, using modern programming practices and AI/ML capabilities. Your work will impact product performance, reliability, and scalability across global deployments. You’ll be motivated by solving complex numerical problems and delivering robust, maintainable software.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve software architecture across the development lifecycle
  • Design and optimize core measurement and data-analysis algorithms
  • Develop C#/.NET and C++ software for analysis and algorithm implementation
  • Prototype, benchmark and compare algorithmic approaches for accuracy and performance
  • Build robust unit/integration tests and optimize performance and security
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes with guidance
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and apply new software technologies
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field with significant experience
  • Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals (architecture, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, testing, debugging)
  • Experience with algorithms and numerical methods; ability to optimize for accuracy and performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft .NET (VB.NET, C#) and C++
  • Experience with Visual Studio and Git
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Self-driven, technically capable with problem-solving skills
