As a Senior Software Engineer in Audio Quality Engineering, you design and own tools and pipelines to validate PlayStation audio technologies. You’ll collaborate with the QE and Audio SDK teams to measure quality, detect regressions, and provide actionable feedback. You’ll shape how audio behavior is evaluated across libraries and SDK releases, building robust, developer-facing tools. This role offers the chance to influence audio quality at scale within PlayStation SDK and collaborate across global teams. You’ll work in a foundation-focused group building core SDKs and systems for game development partners.

- Design, develop, and maintain audio quality tools and automated analysis systems for PlayStation SDK audio libraries
- Implement high-quality C/C++ and Python code to analyze audio output and detect regressions
- Build repeatable audio quality measurement systems with spectral and perceptual analyses
- Own audio quality features end to end, including CI integration and documentation
- Collaborate with Audio SDK engineers to define testability and ensure early quality consideration
- Develop tooling that provides clear insight into audio defects and trends
- Improve automated validation, build/test pipelines, reporting, and dashboards for SDK releases
- Investigate complex audio issues using debugging, data analysis, and domain collaboration
- Help define engineering standards for maintainability, performance, and documentation
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of high-quality software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve audio quality processes across the SDK
- Contribute to engineering practices that raise quality beyond immediate scope
- Strong professional software engineering experience with ownership of tools, systems, or quality-focused projects
- Excellent C/C++ and Python programming skills
- Practical knowledge of digital audio fundamentals (PCM, sampling, latency, spectral analysis)
- Experience designing and maintaining automated test systems and quality pipelines
- Ability to analyze complex problems and deliver robust solutions with minimal supervision
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across software, tooling, data, and environments
- Experience setting up CI/CD, source control, code review, and collaborative workflows
- Ability to write clear technical documentation for both audio specialists and non-audio stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, release, tools, and platform teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Audio Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience
