As a Senior C++ Software Engineer at Flow Traders, you will help shape our core event‑driven trading platform used across market data, research, pricing, and strategies. You will collaborate with technologists, quants, and traders to deliver high‑performance, reliable systems that process vast data with ultra‑low latency. You’ll lead global rollout of the Core platform and build tools to tune and deploy data‑driven trading strategies. The role combines hands‑on development with close interaction across trading desks, research, and operations in a collaborative, non‑hierarchical culture.

- Lead the development and global rollout of the Core platform for multiple focus groups
- Develop tools/frameworks for tuning and data‑driven trading strategies
- Collaborate with focus group engineers, quants, and technical traders to refine requirements and iterate on design
- Implement exchange connectivity software using APIs and various protocols (FIX, WebSocket, HTTP)
- Enhance monitoring, observability, and reliability of the trading engine
- Prepare for releases and deployments of new trading engine versions
- Investigate and resolve production issues such as crashes and performance bottlenecks
- Optimize exchange communication and kernel/tls performance
- Utilize exchange SDKs in C++, Rust, Python, Typescript
- 5+ years of post‑grad C++ software development experience
- Proven ability to write clean, reliable, and scalable code
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Experience with parallel, asynchronous, and multi‑threaded programming
- Interest in maximizing performance on available hardware and software
- Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical colleagues
