Senior Software Engineer – C++ / Video Processing

As a Senior Software Engineer in Medtronic Digital Technologies, you will build high-performance real-time video and AI processing pipelines for operating-room use. You contribute to a connected ecosystem, leveraging edge computing and hardware acceleration to enable low-latency visualization and decision support. You work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe-by-design medical device software that improves patient outcomes. • Develop high-performance video capture, processing, AI inference, visualization and streaming software leveraging hardware acceleration
• Design, implement, and optimise video processing pipelines for operating-room deployments
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, safe-by-design medical device software
• Maintain code quality and reliability; participate in code reviews and documentation

• C++ development with C++17-23, multi-threading, IPC, performance optimization
• Strong software design principles and patterns
• Experience with real-time video pipelines
• Clear, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Ability to work independently from concept to production
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to commute frequently to London office (onsite 3 days/week)
