Senior Software Engineer, C/FICCO Data

Overview

In this role you will own and deliver data products that support diverse trading activities within DRWs C/FICCO Data Engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain batch and real-time time-series data systems, and develop fast data access APIs for historical and live data. You’ll collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers to ensure high data quality and reliable data flows. You will provide on-call support as needed, contributing to a scalable data infrastructure that underpins data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions for diverse trading activities
• Own data products from concept to production
• Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time time-series data systems with high quality and reliability
• Develop APIs and data access methods for fast retrieval of historical and live data
• Provide on-call support as needed

• 2+ years’ experience in Python, Java, or C++ (multilingual proficiency)
• Experience delivering production systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with direct customer interactions
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify risks, and reduce complexity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders and engineers
• Experience in financial markets, especially delta one, store of value, and/or FICC options trading
• Experience with Linux-based, high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Experience with pipeline orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Dagster)
• Experience with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka), data lake platforms (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), and relational databases
