Design cloud software for Elastic’s Control Plane - Hosted team, using Scala, Java, or Go in a distributed engineering environment. Shape scalable systems and reliable customer experiences.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work across key functional areas of Elastic’s Cloud offerings. You will craft solutions, debug sophisticated failure scenarios, and analyze current system strengths and limitations. The work includes technical leadership across teams and product areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide cross-team technical designs and high-level architecture
  • Lead development best practices for reliable, scalable foundations
  • Contribute technical plans and direction across Elastic
  • Collaborate with Support and Elasticsearch engineering teams
  • Debug failures and prioritize bugs and features

Requirements:

  • Five or more years delivering high-quality software code
  • Pragmatic technical leadership experience for engineer groups
  • Knowledge of Scala, Java, or Go
  • Technical depth in SaaS technologies
  • Eligibility to work in DoD Impact Level 5
