Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Platform Software

Salary: $86,800 - 165,200 per year

• Experience developing software in modern programming languages such as C++ or Java in a Linux environment
• Experience rapidly prototyping and developing software solutions
• A STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; an active Secret clearance is required after the first day
• Preferred: experience with embedded software development and software/hardware integration
• Preferred: experience with software-defined radios (SDRs) or multifunction radio frequency (MFRF) systems
• Preferred: experience with electronic warfare (EW) and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems
• Preferred: experience with object-oriented design and development, and multithreading
• Preferred: experience with Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, test automation, configuration management, or defect-tracking tools such as Git and JIRA
• Preferred: experience developing, testing, and deploying software in Rust, Python, C, or C++
• Preferred: familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques

• Participate in software requirements, design, development, and testing, including creating new work products and enhancing existing applications and systems
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions
• Take part in internal reviews of software components and systems
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering professionals
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain software configuration management
• Help advance engineering software development environments and DevOps practices
• Design and develop solutions for communications, navigation, radar, and electronic warfare applications
• Derive requirements for new concepts and systems from overall project goals
• Develop and advocate for new approaches and solutions
• Work across multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement effective solutions rapidly
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining design approaches and their relevance to project objectives
• Own assigned technical execution while meeting cost, schedule, design-to-cost, and manufacturability targets
