Overview
In this role you will advance the vendor platform Axiom ControllerView and related in-house components within the Finance Technology team to support regulatory reporting. You will lead moderately complex initiatives, improve service quality and performance, and deliver scalable software solutions, while ensuring security and compliance. You’ll troubleshoot production issues and provide technical guidance to engineers, collaborating with stakeholders across the finance and technology domains. This position offers impact through shaping critical financial controls and processes in a global bank.
Responsibilities- Lead moderately complex technology initiatives including design, installation, upgrades, integration, and deployment
- Identify and implement improvements to service quality, availability, resilience, performance, and operational efficiency
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy scalable software solutions for moderately complex projects
- Analyze complex technical challenges, evaluate options, and make sound engineering recommendations
- Lead resolution of technical and production issues with root-cause analysis to meet SLAs, security, and compliance
- Exercise independent judgment on technical decisions and apply secure software engineering and risk-management practices
- Provide technical guidance and code-review support, contribute to engineering standards, and communicate with stakeholders
- Significant software engineering experience
- Advanced proficiency in Python development (design, testing, maintenance of production-grade apps)
- Strong ETL and data engineering experience (reliable data pipelines)
