Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (TypeScript)

In this role you will advance a mission-critical frontend platform within the Avigilon Alta Video UI team, helping to scale a real-time VMS across a global user base. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to shape architecture and deliver reliable features, balancing performance with robust state management. You’ll tackle complex logic, API integrations, and modern frontend patterns to keep delivering high-quality software. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity in a collaborative, distributed engineering culture.

• Analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for the organization’s products and systems
• Perform system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and consistency
• Develop, validate, and test structures and user documentation
• Architect and implement complex state management patterns and robust API integrations to support a scaling ecosystem
• Improve deployment speed by contributing to CI/CD pipelines and leveraging Firebase for rapid feature rollout

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on modern frontend architecture
• Proven ability to manage intricate application states and data flows (e.g., Pinia, Vuex, or Redux)
• Deep understanding of consuming RESTful APIs and hands-on experience with Firebase and CI/CD workflows
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern CSS/HTML
• Strong foundation in design patterns and driving architectural changes across a large codebase
