Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) - Servicing, FinCrime

In this role you help build Wise’s centralized fincrime risk platform, enabling fast, accurate risk visibility across customers and signals. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to design resilient backend services and intuitive frontends, supporting scalable compliance operations. Your work directly impacts how Wise safeguards customer money while enabling rapid, compliant growth. You’ll contribute to a holistic risk ecosystem and strive for simple, effective solutions that scale with the business.

• Design, develop, and deploy backend microservices using Java (Spring Boot)
• Build frontend interfaces with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Create a centralized risk view by aggregating data across fincrime topologies
• Own common components of risk mitigation workflows for Servicing Agents
• Break down bottlenecks in servicing and compliance processes and deliver adaptable platform solutions
• Take ownership of problems from discovery to production shipping

• Strong engineering background in Java or other JVM languages
• Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Clean, scalable, testable code with good test coverage and code reviews
• Experience designing distributed, concurrent systems and understanding architecture tradeoffs
• Product mindset with ability to break down projects into milestones that deliver customer value
