Senior Software Engineer, GoLang

• Evolve, enhance, and modernise large-scale systems
• Drive adoption of technologies such as Go
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Develop automation for infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and scaling
• Build tools and processes supporting continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
• Make data-guided decisions affecting core business metrics and processes
• Apply platform and reliability engineering practices, including observability, performance optimisation, analytics, and security best practices
• Facilitate collaboration between teams and promote continuous improvement
• Mentor junior engineers on engineering practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting
• Contribute to the development, delivery, maintenance, and support of public-facing and internal insurance systems

Requirements

• Highest level of proficiency developing applications using most of the listed technologies
• Strong Golang knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of AWS products such as Lambdas and DynamoDB
• Comfortable working in Azure and Azure DevOps environments
• Containerisation and infrastructure-as-code approach
• Good understanding of development methodologies and design patterns
• Cloudflare knowledge
• C# ASP.NET and .NET Core are a plus but not necessary
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Astro, and NodeJS is a plus
• Willingness to learn; candidates do not need to meet every listed requirement
