Senior Software Engineer - Graph Analytics for Snowflake

Overview

In this role you will build and evolve the Neo4j Graph Analytics for Snowflake app, embedding graph data science into Snowflake. You’ll own the SQL-facing API and contribute to the build, release, and deployment pipeline for enterprise-scale data platforms. You’ll collaborate with customers and solution engineers to translate real-world needs into scalable features, while improving security and observability. This is a hands-on, cloud-native, DevOps-focused position with a meaningful impact on how customers analyze graph data inside Snowflake.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and evolve the Graph Analytics for Snowflake application embedded in Snowflake
  • Design and enhance the SQL-facing API including stored procedures and UDFs
  • Own build, release, and deployment pipelines (Snowflake CLI, Gradle, container images, Java/Python runtimes)
  • Improve platform security posture (RCR, grants, image scanning)
  • Collaborate with customers and Solution Engineers to translate requirements into features
  • Contribute to operational excellence (runbooks, release processes, observability, reproducible dev environments)
Key requirements
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Java or Python (or both)
  • DevOps mindset with ownership of build pipelines, container images, releases, and operations
  • Experience designing software for performance, scalability, and cost on cloud infrastructure
