Overview
In this role you design and implement scalable identity infrastructure to secure authentication and authorization across enterprise systems. You’ll work on SSO, MFA, and federation with standards like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth, while enforcing RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC controls. Your work supports policy-driven governance aligned with security standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll communicate complex identity concepts to stakeholders and help Scale advance secure AI-enabled products at scale.
Responsibilities- Design and implement identity infrastructure for secure authentication and authorization across enterprise systems
- Develop authentication mechanisms (SSO, MFA, federation using SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Build authorization systems (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC)
- Create identity governance policies compliant with security standards and regulations
- Present technical guidance on identity management to teams and stakeholders
- 5+ years of full-time engineering experience in infrastructure and identity systems
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and microservice deployment experience
- Hands-on work with OpenFGA, Authzed, Cedar, Topaz, or similar authorization frameworks
- Strong understanding of Zanzibar-based ReBAC models and access control evaluation
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT and IdP solutions (e.g., EntraID, Okta)
- Distributed systems and public cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Track record of independent ownership of engineering projects
