In this role you will help build and own the KYC and onboarding experience within Wise Platform, enabling partner integrations with compliant, seamless onboarding. You will work in a cross-functional squad to shape API infrastructure and platform services that power world-class financial connections. You’ll influence product roadmaps, tackle reliability and security at scale, and mentor engineers to elevate technical excellence. This role offers impact across partners like Google, Deel, Ramp, and Agoda while advancing Wise’s embedded KYC vision.

- Design and build public-facing APIs for Wise Platform and partners
- Own and drive technical roadmaps at squad/tribe level
- Architect robust, scalable microservices using event-driven patterns
- Influence product roadmapping and cross-functional strategy
- Lead cross-team initiatives that unlock new features and value
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and best practices
- Strong Java or JVM-based language experience with Spring
- Experience building/operating microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on Kafka or similar messaging systems experience
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases and data lifecycle management
- Product-minded with data-driven decision making to shape roadmaps
- Experience leading cross-team initiatives and strong communication skills
