Senior Software Engineer II - Wise for Enterprise

As part of the Wise Platform, you will shape KYC and onboarding capabilities by building robust APIs and services for partner integrations. You’ll own the technical roadmap for your domain, focusing on reliability, scalability, and security in a fast-growing fintech setting. You will work in a cross-functional squad to drive high-impact initiatives and mentor engineers, influencing product strategy and technical excellence. This role offers the chance to impact how partners onboard customers and access Wise’s global financial network.

• Design and build public-facing APIs for Wise Platform and partners
• Own and drive technical roadmaps at squad/tribe level, addressing debt, reliability, scalability, and security
• Architect robust, scalable microservices using event-driven design
• Influence product roadmapping and strategy with product and cross-functional teams
• Lead cross-team initiatives that unlock new features and value for partners
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and best practices

• Strong foundation in Java or JVM-based language with Spring
• Experience building and operating microservices with event-driven architecture
• Hands-on Kafka or similar messaging systems experience
• Relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and data lifecycle management for sensitive information
• Product-oriented thinking with data-driven roadmap shaping
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and strong communication skills
