As a Senior SDET at Roku, you will redefine how we test and ensure reliability of the Roku OS, leveraging AI and analytics to close quality gaps. You’ll work with software and QA engineers to design intelligent testing solutions that go beyond basic metrics, aiming for production reliability. Responsibilities
  • Design and implement intelligent test analysis systems to identify quality gaps and predict failures
  • Build data-driven testing pipelines to continuously improve quality processes
  • Establish regression tracking and prevent regression recurrence through robust methodologies
  • Develop AI-powered tools for failure analysis, root cause identification, and flakiness scoring
  • Define architectural patterns to enhance testing effectiveness, maintainability, and business impact
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in test architecture and automation systems design
  • 8+ years programming experience across multiple languages, especially Python
  • Proven track record in driving test transformation and reducing production issues
  • AI expertise for testing, including LLMs and predictive analytics
  • Knowledge of CI tools (Jenkins/GitLab, TeamCity, AWS) and optimizing quality gates
  • Advanced test analysis skills: flakiness analysis, failure pattern recognition, automated root cause identification
  • Excellent communication and ability to influence senior leadership across teams
  • Some working knowledge of C++
  • Leadership experience mentoring engineers and driving testing practice changes
  • Certifications or training in AI/ML or AI testing (e.g., Coursera AI for Everyone, ISTQB AI Testing)
