Overview

In this role you will advance Elastic’s integration surface, enabling Elastic to connect with AI ecosystems and developers. You’ll shape how Elastic appears inside AI assistants and agent tools, driving easy discovery, connection, and use. You’ll work across the Integrations team to deliver universal agent skills, CLI enhancements, and third-party integrations. This is a fast-moving space where your product thinking and collaboration with product teams and partners will shape the developer experience and ecosystem impact.

Responsibilities
  • Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure in Go
  • Develop the platform for universal agent skills, including portable format, authoring/publishing tooling, and linting
  • Raise the correctness bar by backing skills and tools with evaluations
  • Design and implement integrations to make Elastic available in third-party AI ecosystems
  • Collaborate with product teams and partners to shape and land integrations
  • Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer and agent efficiency
  • Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack in Go and Rust
  • Infuse product thinking and defend opinions on what to build and why
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of backend software engineering experience
  • Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents, MCP
  • Interest in evaluation-driven correctness
  • Strong experience in Go; familiarity with other languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, REST APIs
  • Comfort reading and contributing to unfamiliar codebases
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Product thinking and strong focus on usability/developer experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing, remote, distributed team
