Overview

As a Senior Technical Lead on Roku’s Enterprise Engineering team, you’ll shape scalable platform services and drive modern, API-driven solutions for critical business processes. You will own architecture, deliver high-quality software on tight timelines, and collaborate with security, compliance, and cross-functional partners to automate workflows. This role offers impact across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, and HR, with a strong emphasis on engineering practice and ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and deploy scalable web applications and services across the platform stack
  • Lead architecture discussions and own delivery of new projects with timely execution
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to meet audit and security requirements
  • Contribute to tooling, cloud technologies, and process improvements
  • Define and participate in Agile processes including design, estimation, coding, testing, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of experience delivering multi-tier, scalable web applications
  • Strong software architecture understanding and OO design principles
  • Extensive experience building microservices with Java and Python
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing (Java/Python)
  • SQL/NoSQL database design (Oracle, Cassandra)
  • Proactive, self-driven with ability to make trade-offs to meet business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with Hive/Hadoop and Apache Spark
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, Elastic Cache, Lambda)
  • Working experience with Terraform
  • Experience creating workflows with Apache Airflow
  • Experience developing Finance or HR related applications
