Overview

In this role you will help shape Citi’s tech-enabled finance landscape by delivering full‑stack, cloud‑native applications using Java or Python. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams to align features with architecture and regulatory needs, solve complex business problems, and mentor peers. You’ll work on Gen‑AI initiatives and scalable systems that impact global markets, with mentorship and learning opportunities in a flexible, hybrid setup.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with management to define integration points and system enhancements for new products and process improvements
  • Resolve high‑impact problems through analysis of business and system processes
  • Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure alignment with architecture blueprint
  • Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards based on system flows
  • Build deep knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure interact to achieve business goals
  • Deliver innovative solutions through in‑depth issue analysis and interpretation
  • Coach and advise mid‑level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed
  • Assess risk in business decisions and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Citi policies (escalating control issues with transparency)
Key requirements
  • Experience in full‑stack development with Java or Python
  • Backend frameworks: Spring Boot/Spring Core and Flask/FastAPI
  • Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue
  • Designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑native applications
  • Exposure to Gen‑AI concepts including LLMs and transformer‑based systems
  • Prompt engineering and basic agent workflows
  • Vector search and retrieval concepts
  • Experience integrating Gen‑AI APIs into production apps
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
