Senior Software Engineer - Python

As a Backend Senior Software Engineer at Experian, you design, build, and operate production-grade backend services that power customer and partner capabilities. You’ll own the full SDLC, collaborating with engineers, product, and data scientists to deliver reliable, data-driven solutions. You’ll focus on scalable APIs, integrations, and data-focused systems, with production ownership from deployment to monitoring. • Own the full Software Development Lifecycle from requirements to production support
• Design, build, and operate backend services including APIs, integrations, and data-focused systems
• Collaborate with Engineers, Product, and Data Scientists to shape data-driven product capabilities
• Manage production systems with monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement
• Deliver changes frequently with a balance of speed, quality, and reliability
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Solid backend experience using Python in production
• Experience building and running backend systems end-to-end
• Experience building and operating systems on AWS
• Experience practising Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing
• Experience with pair programming or collaborative development practices
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences
