In this role you will contribute to a high‑performing distributed query system within MongoDB. You will work on the query engine, language enhancements, and diagnostics, collaborating with peers to deliver robust features. The focus is on performance, reliability, and modular design to power critical workloads for customers. - Understand and improve the MongoDB query engine
- Contribute high-quality C++ code and participate in code reviews
- Design, implement, test, and support features for performance, robustness, language enhancements, diagnostics, and integration with other products/tools
- Collaborate with peers to deliver technical solutions
- 5+ years of experience in systems programming
- Experience with large code bases in C++, C, or Rust
- Solid CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Interest in database query engines; advanced degrees are a plus
