Senior Software Engineer – Real-Time Data Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own and evolve the core data platform that processes billions of market messages daily. You will work in a high-performance, distributed, event-driven environment delivering accurate, real-time market data to downstream systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, observable, and cost-efficient systems at massive scale. This is a mission-critical platform where your work directly enables analytics and business decisions across the organisation.

• Design and build scalable, real-time data processing systems using Apache Flink and Kafka
• Develop maintainable code for Apache Flink (Java) data processing and .NET APIs
• Take end-to-end ownership from design through production support
• Build production-grade systems with strong observability, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Work with AWS services to create cloud-native, highly available systems
• Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Harness
• Optimize for performance, latency, throughput, and cost

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with Apache Flink (or similar) and Kafka or other messaging systems
• Proficiency in .NET or Java
• Experience building highly observable and operationally mature systems (monitoring, logging, alerting)
• Understanding of performance tuning, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Awareness of cost implications and scaling projections
