GitLab is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Authorization team. You will own parts of the permission system across GitLab.com, Self-Managed, and Dedicated, implementing fine-grained access controls with a Rails monolith and a Rust policy engine.

You will move the model onto a shared authorization platform, collaborating with teams across authentication, AI, and modular services, in a distributed, async-friendly environment.
